Narrative

Pip doesn’t live like the average kid. His parents died when he was younger, so he became an orphan until he was adopted by his sister, Mrs. Joe, and her husband Mr. Joe. Pip and his sister did not interact well because they have very different personalities. Mrs. Joe is very orderly, clean, and stubborn, she likes things her way. She isn’t mean, however she is very controlling over Pip and her husband. Mr. Joe serves more as a fatherly figure for Pip. They act more as friends than as family members. Mr. Joe is very kinds towards Pip, and they seem to team up against Mrs. Joe when there is an argument, they have each other's back. I consider my relationship with my dad similar to that of Pips and Mr. Joe. I'm very close with both my parents, however personality and interest wise I am able to connect more with my dad. My mom is very similar to Pips sister in the house. Like Mrs. Joe my mom cleans all the time, and she gets angry when things aren’t in order around the house. Like Mr. Joe, my dad doesn’t care as much, and he and I fall under my mom's control just as Pip and Mr. Joe do. Pip clearly has a respect for Mrs. Joe. Despite her rudeness towards him he cares about how she feels and he still strives to keep her happy. When Mrs. Joe suffered an injury Pip and Mr. Joe became closer to her, and as a family. Likewise when my mom had surgery my family became closer, and realized how important it is to be connected to family members.
